QT Classroom Collection Vol I (Mac/Win)

The QuickTime Classroom Collection CD contains 100 + different verb illustrations, 250 + movies, and 250 + still photographs. You can use this collection of photos and movies in educational and home settings as an additional tool to facilitate beginning literacy skills, language development, and curriculum development.

You can add the movies and still photographs on this CD to multimedia programs such as My Own Bookshelf and Test Me Score Me to create exciting activities for your students. You can also play the movies with QuickTime player. The idea is NOT to create an entire activity of movies, but to add movies for emphasis, generalization of concepts, and for humor.

Each QuickTime movie has a companion photograph (still) made from the video. You can use stills as a background picture for the actual video in a multimedia program or inserted prior to the movie for emphasis. In this way, you can draw attention to the action, by an arrow perhaps, to focus the student’s attention on the upcoming action.

Many of the videos have been split at the moment of the action and the companion still inserted to allow the student to focus on the action. Each still pauses the action for several seconds.
